A Cold Weather Tip

Here's a little pointer for everyone out there:

If you throw away your ice scraper at the end of the cold weather season, replace it IMMEDIATELY! Otherwise you will spend 20 minutes bundling you and your child up and navigating the icy driveway only to find that your ice scraper wasn't where you thought it would be. Then you search your trunk and storage. Then, while you are musing over whether or not you can scrape the inch of bumpy, frozen rain off (which is also under 4 or 5 inches of snow) with just your bear hands, you will vaguely remember chucking your ice scraper at the end of the last cold weather season because it was broken. Then you will haul yourself and child (who is whiny by now) back into the house. Then you'll kick the door because you just wasted 45 minutes of your day and you have no way of running your errands.

Do you know where your ice scraper is?

That i do...amazingly we still have ours from last winter! Normally we wouldn't...love the new look, very festive! And love your tree...can't wait till we can get a REAL tree, I just love the smell and for some reason it makes it feel even more like christmas with a real tree! Hang in there...

Aren't things always 20 times harder with a child? If you would have been alone, you would have been a little bugged and annoyed that you couldn't find your scraper, but with a whiny child it makes you want to kill yourself by the end of it! By the way, we bought a "nice" scraper a month ago with a brush on the other end, only to find out after the first snow that it is defective because the brush flops around and doesn't actually clean the snow off of your car. NICE!

Bummer! I hope you bought another one when you could go out again. Mine has remained in my car all year. Jake asked if he could have it and I said no, he needed to get his own (which he HAD but I don't know...he must have chucked his last year.)

PS: I'm sorry I didn't get to talk to you at Target the other day. I was in that store for at least 2 hours Christmas shopping. I was SO ready to go home. And things are harder with kids. How the heck are you supposed to try on clothes in a dressing room with a baby in a shopping cart and they don't let you take the shopping cart in the dressing room? Yeah...didn't work out too well...
