Welcome to This World...

James Owen Gillice III

Hello Family, Friends and Fans...

James II here. We were expecting things to get a little crazy around here once Owen was born. What we were not expecting were the following:
  • Breech Baby
  • Emergency C-section (3am Monday)
  • Torn Uterus
  • Botched Repair Job
  • Emergency Surgery (Wednesday)
  • Days/Weeks of Recovery from that
I'm sure Desta will have quite a few more details to dish out when she is up and operating again. The good news is that she should be fine and Baby Owen is doing great. We are hoping to have both of them back home with us tomorrow.

Here are a few pictures taken in the last few days. Hopefully these will satiate the waiting masses.

Oh my gosh, Owen is gorgeous! In a very manly way. ;) It's amazing how beautiful a baby is when he doesn't have to squish through the birth canal!
Looks like Zoe is getting used to the idea of a little brother.
Desta, best of luck with recovery from all of that. Wow.
Congrats!

Hey, congrats you guys! I've never commented on your blog before, but I thought I wanted to so I am! (This is Jessica from across the street, by the way.) Owen is adorable. Let me know if you want or need Zoe to come over sometime. Greta would love to have a playmate. And by the way, Zoe looked absolutely precious in her green dress a couple Sundays ago. Congrats again!

Yay! congratulations! He is perfect, and Zoe looks so grown up next to him, it's amazing how big they seem next to the new-born.

Hope things get better and your recovery isn't a nightmare like the delivery ordeal.

I love the pic where they both have their binki. too funny!

A Man Child, the heavens smile upon you!!!!!!!

Great looking little man.
Seriously cool little family. I only hope he doesn't meet the same fate as his namesake, attacked by an angry mob of chinamen in the muddy streets of a rugged western mining town.

Congrats!
Love, Ben
