One Week Older and Wiser Too

While this does apply to Owen, I'd say it's more the rest of us that are doing most of the learning around here. Here's what we've learned in the short time Owen has been with us:

For Mommy:

Alternative Toddler Interaction - the No Lifting Approach

Poopy Diapers 101 (wait, that's just how many
Owen has on a daily basis)

Breast Pump = Chew Toy No More!

... As in, "only have one kid, because two is just too hard"? Will do. :)

So precious!! I love the one where he is on the floor in the blue striped outfit. He looks like he's changed so much already!!

Oh....sorry, when I left that comment, your blog entry just said "One." I'm up to speed now. You have some seriously awesome pictures there. Owen really just looks scrumptious. And Zoe is as beautiful as ever. Where are you getting the energy to create her beautiful do's?

Sounds like you're learning a lot. How long did that package of newborn diapers last? One day, two days tops?

Those are awesome pictures! What a handsome little boy. Darling of Zoe holding him too.

He is such a beautiful baby...is that okay to say about a boy?

wow, you guys sure make beautiful children!!

That is a great post, and I love the pictures.

the "no lift" toddler approach IS a hard one to get used to, I feel your pain (no pun intended.) When the boys were born, Emily was just over 2. Jaydon was a natural delivery and Joel was C-section! double recovery is NOT recommended.
I know you get to have "bonus" recovery this time around as well...I wish you the best, speedy recovery EVER.

Thank you, thank you, thank you...
for sharing in photo and word how your first week has gone. I wish I could be there to hold Owen and read a book to Zoe. I will come as soon as I can. When does your mother have to leave?
I am thinking about you always. I hope your C-section is complication free (now that the first problems have been resolved). Take care. I love you.

that juggling can be a risky business...

you guys are so awesome. I remember our new two-ness. It is hard. And I didn't have the difficulties of healing abdominal muscles, either. Just wait... in seven months or so, they'll be having so much fun together.

Congratulations guys! He is so adorable! Wow, sounds like the labor/post labor recovery was pretty awful. I'm glad you are all doing relatively well now. You sure make some beautiful children!

Desta, what a beautiful baby! And I'm happy for you that your catheter's out! Hehe. I just figured out how to see comments and noticed you found mine! And it is too hard to blog! But I'm learning. Congrats on your baby!
